In the proposed fifth generation structure-based control algorithm the various continuous and discrete control actions are modellized by a composite net of active and passive elements. The structural models can be operated by a simple Prolog program. As a consequence of the general architecture of this program both the structure and the parameters of the control can easily be modified. The atoms of the control models are stored in databases, consequently if the model is changed, it is not necessary to modify and compile the program.
