Modeling and Control of an Industrial PVC Suspension Polymerization Reactor
The modelling, parameter estimation and controllability analysis of an industrial batch PVC suspension polymerization reactor is described. A mathematical model is developed. in which the parameters of a simplified reactor kinetics expression are fitted using plant data. The resulting model can accurately predict the impact of initiator loading and coolant temperature on the operability of the reactor.
