Femtosecond laser ablation transfer and phase transition of phthalocyanine solids
Laser, ablation transfer of phthalocyanine dyes to neat poly(methyl methacrylate) (PMMA) film was achieved space-selectively by femtosecond laser excitation. The transferred pattern at the laser fluence near ablation threshold was a dot with a diameter of a few micrometers, and a bigger doughnut pattern was obtained at higher fluence. By measuring the absorption spectra of original and deposited dyes, their crystal phase was confirmed to change upon femtosecond laser transfer depending on laser fluence.
