AMORPHOUS MOLECULAR MATERIALS - SYNTHESIS AND PROPERTIES OF A NOVEL STARBURST MOLECULE, 4,4',4''-TRI(N-PHENOTHIAZINYL)TRIPHENYLAMINE
Communication: Processability, flexibility, transparency, and a lack of grain boundaries are some of the attractive properties of amorphous molecular materials. For their integration into electronics, however, it is important that the materials can form stable amorphous, glassy states with a glass-transition temperature and, if any, a crystallization temperature as high as possible. The starburst molecule shown in the figure has a glass-transition temperature of 141-degrees-C.
