Polymeric fullerene materials come in three main types: ''pendant'', where C60 is attached to the side chain of a polymer (see Figure) or to the surface of a solid, ''dendritic'', and ''in-chain'', where the fullerene forms part of the main chain. The synthesis of the various types is discussed and their expected unique properties described.
