Patterned films of nanotubes using microcontact printing of catalysts
Communication: Nanotube assemblies constrained to predetermined geometric patterns form the topic of the research presented here (see also the cover). It is demonstrated that microcontact printing can be used to pattern silicon wafers with catalysts upon which multiwalled carbon nanotubes are selectively grown. The Figure is a scanning electron microscopy image of a surface thus patterned with carbon nanotubes.
