Mesogenic composite. consisting of low-molar-mass liquid crystals, polymers, and photoconductive sensitizers, constitute novel organic materials possessing high-performance photorefractivity. Polymeric materials in the photorefractive mesogenic composites play a very important role in terms of improving the resolution, stabilizing the homeotropic alignment, and functionalizing the materials.
