Methods for the characterization of polymers using advanced separation technology are presented here, focusing on adsorption liquid chromatography, pyrolysis gas chromatography, and flow injection polymer analysis. The Figure shows a plot of the bivariate Stockmayer copolymer distribution - information that can be obtained experimentally by adsorption liquid chromatography.
