Pulsed initiation polymerization applied to acrylate monomers: Sources of experimental failure
Up to date, problems exist with the determination of k(p) values with respect to acrylates. The pulsed lazer polymerization (PLP) data published so far only give consistent values of k(p) for temperatures below 30 degreesC for acrylates. Recently, new insights in acrylate Is seem to offer a plausible explanation for the failure failure of the pulsed initiation polymerization (PIP) experiment for acrylates that will be discussed here.
