Fischer-Tropsch synthesis over bimodal Co-Ir-SiO2 catalysts prepared by the alkoxide method
Bimodal pore-structured catalysts for the Fischer-Tropsch reaction were prepared by modifying the surface of macroporous silica with 20wt.%Co-0.5wt.%Ir-SiO2 prepared by the alkoxide method. The bimodal catalysts showed high and stable activity with reducing the amounts of the expensive alkoxide. The olefin selectivity increased with the macropore size.
