Behavior of Aluminum as Anode in Dimethylsulfone-Based Electrolytes
Electrochemical behaviour of aluminium has been investigated in dimethylsulfone in presence of AlCl3 and LiCl salts in the temperature range of 80-160-degrees-C. Electrochemically active aluminium can be cathodically deposited and anodically stripped from LiAl2Cl7/DMSO2 electrolyte. High efficiencies (> 90%) have been obtained during cycling of aluminium in this medium. Comparison with other systems has been done.
