소수성·친수성 고분자막을 이용한 용매추출에 관한 연구
Solvent Extraction for Separation of Solute from Aqueous Streams with Hydrophobic and Hydrophilic Membranes
초록
본 연구에서는 막용매추출에서 사용된 고분자막의 소수 및 친수특성이 용매추출에 미치는 효과를 검토하였다. 본 실험계(solvent-water-acetic acid)에서 초산의 총괄물질전달계수, K0는 친수성막(Celgard 5511)보다 소수성막(Colgard 4410)에서 크게 나타났다. 이는 막의 소수 및 친수특성에 따라 막기공내로 침투되는 용액이 유기상과 수용상으로 달라지게 되는데, 이에 따른 초산의 확산계수가 수용상에서보다 유기상에서 크기 때문으로 판단된다. 또한 본추출계에서 총괄물질전달계수는 유기상의 유속이 증가함에 따라 증가하였으며 수용상의 유속변화에는 크게 영향을 받지않았다. 한편 유기용매는 methylisobutylke- tone보다 methylethyl ketone을 사용하였을 때 추출능이 우수하였다.
The effects of the hydrophobic and hydrophilic characteristics of the polymeric membranes on the extraction of solute from aqueous streams were studied in the membrane solvent extration. With the system of solvent-water-acetic acid the overall mass transfer coefficients of acetic acid, K0 were shows higher in the hydrophobic membranes (Celgard 4410) than the hydrophilic membrane(Celgard 5511). The organic phase and aqueous phase were penetrated selectively to the pores of membranes with the hydrophobic and hydrophilic characteristics, respectively. At thin. time, the diffusion coefficient of the acetic acid within the pores filled by the organic phase was higher than that by the aqueous phase. Also, the overall mass transfer coefficients in this system were increased as the volumeteric flow rate of organic phase increased and were not effected on that of aqueous phase. The extraction performence in the system of methylethylketone was superior to that of methylisobutylketone.
