Cell and Optics Design for in-Situ Far-Infrared Spectroscopy of Electrode Surfaces
In situ far-infrared studies of the electrode/electrolyte interface using synchrotron radiation as the far-infrared source promise to provide new insights into interfacial structure. However, several precautions must be taken when conducting such experiments in order to produce reliable and reproducible results. These precautions are discussed and an experimental design is presented.
