Temperature-dependent emission spectrum of Ba3MgSi2O8 : Eu2+, Mn2+ phosphor for white-light-emitting diode
The temperature dependence of emission spectrum of full-color emitting Ba3MgSi2O8: Eu2+, Mn2+ is investigated. As an increase of temperature, three emission bands show anomalous blueshift along with broadening bandwidth and decreasing intensity. With increasing temperature, variations in both the peak position and the intensity-quenched temperature are increased in the order of blue, green, and red bands, and CIE color coordinates move close to the pure white region. This phenomenon can be described in terms of the phonon-electron interaction. (c) 2005 The Electrochemical Society.
