Analytical solution for the deformation of pressure sensitive adhesives confined between two rigid plates
An analytical solution is obtained for the deformation of thin pressure sensitive adhesives, represented by the neo-Hookean model, confined between two rigid plates. The force acting on the plate is shown to have a maximum as a function of the elongation ratio L The result is compared with the elastic limit of the block model which was proposed to predict the stress-strain curve of pressure sensitive adhesives.
