A pyrolytic, carbon-stabilized, nanoporous Pd film for wide-range H-2 sensing
High-performance H-2 sensors are becoming increasingly important in detecting and monitoring H-2. By using pyrolytic carbon as a transition layer between a Pd film and an anodic aluminum oxide substrate, a nanoporous Pd film sensor is fabricated (see figure) that has a remarkable sensing performance with the ability to detect both dilute and high concentrations of H-2 gas quickly and at room temperature.
