Organic tunneling devices and field effect transistors using polycrystalline naphthalene diimine frameworks
We report the fabrication of the n-type thin film organic field effect transistors and low-voltage Fowler-Nordheim organic tunneling devices, which have a gate depended threshold. The devices are composed of a mixed polymeric-crystalline film featuring 1,5-diaminonaphthalene with 3chloro-1-propanethiol linkers. Polycrystalline naphthalene diimine frameworks produce tunneling diodes or field effect transistors depending on the fabrication process. The suggested approach fills the gap for molecular device fabrication methods where the different device manufacture steps are based on the same technology. (c) 2007 Elsevier B.V. All rights reserved.
