ANALYSIS OF CHLORINE IN LIGNITE FROM THE LAUSITZ MINES
''In many developed countries, coal combustion is the largest source of chlorine from human activities...'' [1]. The present paper discusses the chlorine content of various lignite samples of a Lausitz-Mine. An AOX-analyser was used to investigate lignite and it is shown that the value of chlorine content at a lower combustion temperature is as high as the value at higher combustion temperatures. Statistical parameters of the method are given and the content of bromine, investigated by RFA and his low influence is described.
