Preparation of cathode active material for rechargeable magnesium battery by atmospheric pressure microwave discharge using carbon felt pieces
Magnesium manganese oxide (MMO) with spinet structure was prepared from powders of MgO and Mn2O3 by atmospheric pressure microwave discharge using CF pieces. The produced MMO was strained in the crystal structure by the barrier discharge between CF pieces and the raw powder. Cyclic voltammograms of the strained MMO showed a reduction current peak, and the discharge capacity increased.
