A simple and efficient protocol for chlorination of Baylis-Hillman adducts using PPh3/CCl4
PPh3/CCl4 system has been employed for the stereoselective synthesis of (Z)- and (E)-allyl chlorides from Baylis-Hillman adducts in excellent yields.
