Excess Molar Volumes and Viscosities of Binary-Mixtures of bis(2-Methoxyl)Ether (Diglyme) with Chloroalkanes at 298.15-K
Molar excess volumes (V(E)), excess viscosities (eta(E)) and excess energies of activation for viscous flow (DELTAG*E) are reported for non-electrolyte mixtures of bis(2-methoxyl)ether (diglyme) and dichloromethane, trichloromethane and tetrachloromethane at 298.15 K over the whole concentration range. The results for V(E), eta(E) and DELTAG*E are discussed in terms of the interaction between components. The Flory and ERAS models have been used to calculate V(E), and are compared with experimental data. Bloomfield and Dewan, and Schrodt and Akel models have been used to calculate viscosity coefficients and these are also compared with experimental data for the three mixtures.
