Extending the Duhamel theorem to dual phase applications
The Duhamel theorem is a useful classical result that allows finding the solution to a single phase thermal diffusion problem subject to time dependent heat sources and time dependent boundary conditions in terms of known solutions to the equivalent problem when the heat sources and boundary conditions are independent of time. The present paper presents the proof to the Duhamel theorem for dual phase thermal diffusion applications. (C) 2007 Published by Elsevier Ltd.
