Excess Molar Volumes of N-Hexane Plus Ethanol, Plus (Ethanol Plus Water) and Plus (Ethanol Plus Water Plus Sodium-Chloride) at 303.15 K
Excess molar volumes have been determined dilatometrically for n-C6H24 + C2H5OH, + (0.9036C(2)H(5)OH + 0.0964H(2)O), +(0.8181C(2)H(5)OH + 0.1819H(2)O), +(0.7789C(2)H(5)OH + 0.2211H(2)O), +(0.7415C(2)H(5)OH + 0.2585H(2)O), +(0.6890C(2)H(5)OH + 0.3110H(2)O), and +(0.8201C(2)H(5)OH + 0.1788H(2)O + 0.0011NaCl). The V-m(E) are positive for all the systems studied, with a magnitude that increases in one-phase regions and decreases in two-phase regions with increasing mole fraction of water in (ethanol + water) mixtures.
