A group contribution method for estimating ideal gas heat capacities of hydrocarbons
A new group contribution method for estimating ideal gas heat capacities of hydrocarbons is presented. The temperature dependence of the property derives from the statistical mechanics. The group identification uses the Constantinou and Gani method. Very good estimations of the ideal gas heat capacity, enthalpy and entropy are obtained in a wide range of temperature (from 150 up to 3000 K).
