Cu2O was found to be a simple and efficient catalyst for the N-arylation of a variety of nitrogen-containing heterocycles with aryl and heteroaryl chlorides, bromides and iodides to give the products in excellent yields. The catalyst can be recovered simply and reused for several times without significant loss of activity.
