Highly Stable Mesoporous Aluminosilicates with a Dual Pore System: Simultaneous Formation of Mesophase with Zeolitic Building Units
Highly stable Al-MCM-48 with zeolitic secondary building units (SBU) and varied SiO2/Al2O3 were synthesized by direct hydrothermal methods using tetraethyl ammonium hydroxide (TEAOH) as the SBU promoting agent. Porosity characterization by hyperpolarized (HP) Xe-129 NMR spectroscopy revealed the existence of two distinct types of pore system with unique micro- and mesostructures.
