Pool boiling heat transfer coefficients, bubble departure diameters, and nucleation site densities have been measured for binary mixtures of acetone, isopropanol, and water. The measured heat transfer coefficients are compared to the predictions of a correlation developed by Schlunder [1]. Different approaches to determine the ideal heat transfer coefficient required for thus correlation are evaluated.
