The paper introduces some alternatives in planning experiments for solving the Mixture Design Problem. These alternatives suggest decrease of number of points (experiments) from the border of the Scheffe Simplex Lattice Design and increase of points from the all-component area, thus giving more informative data basis for deriving a relevant mathematical model. Practical application of the idea was demonstrated on an illustrative example.
