Prediction of overall mass transfer coefficients during the growth of single crystals
An attempt has been made to develop a unified, single correlation to represent overall mass transfer coefficients, during the growth of single crystals, suspended in a flowing stream of saturated solutions. Literature data with a wide range of variables have been used to obtain a new correlation. Systems with different controlling mechanisms (viz., diffusion controlled and surface reaction controlled) are used in this present study.
