Quality assurance systems and information technology in bioengineering
A principal problem of a working quality assurance system is the exact documentation of the entire production procedure. We investigated the possible points of generalisation from the usual biochemical and chemical quality assurance systems and we recognised the necessity of developing a computer aided system based on the modem tools of information technology. The special field of our work has been determined by one of the biggest Hungarian agricultural cooperative (ARPAD Co. Szentes) supporting the design of its quality assurance system by the Hungarian National Board of Technical Development (OMFB). In the frame of this research we designed a computer aided information base for the main production steps of paprika, tomatoes, cucumbers and Chinese cabbages.
