Densities and volumetric properties of (N-acetylmorpholine plus aromatic hydrocarbon) binary mixtures from T = (293.15 to 343.15) K
The experimental densities, rho for binary mixtures of (N-acetylmorpholine + benzene, + toluene, + ethylbenzene, and + mesitylene) have been measured at temperatures from (293.15 to 343.15) K and atmospheric pressure over the whole mole fraction range. From these results, excess molar volumes V-E have been calculated and fitted to the Redlich-Kister polynomial equation. The V-E values are negative over the whole mole fraction range and at all temperatures. Thermal expansion coefficients alpha(i), apparent molar volumes V-phi i, and partial molar volumes at infinite dilution V-i(alpha) have been calculated. The variation of these properties with composition and temperature of the binary mixtures are discussed in terms of molecular interactions. (C) 2008 Elsevier Ltd. All rights reserved.
