Derivation of two-phase-flow equations in a compressible porous medium
The equations for flow of several compressible liquids in a porous medium, elastic in the vertical dimension, are derived. In numerical reservoir calculations and simulators, the compressibility of the medium may be taken only partially into account. The origin of the ambiguity is traced, and the differences are illustrated by a comparison with the integrated mass balance equations.
