ELECTROCHEMICAL IMPEDANCE STUDY OF NICKEL ELECTRO-DEPOSITS PREPARED IN ULTRASONICALLY AGITATED BATH
Electrochemical impedance spectroscopic (AC impedance) studies have been carried out on nickel electrodeposits obtained from still and ultrasonically agitated Watts electrolytic bath. The samples have been tested in 3.5% sodium chloride solution. The beginning of corrosion process is well defined by the appearance of semicircle. The variation of current density (ed) during plating influences the performance of the coating. Ultrasonic agitation has improved the corrosion resistance properties of nickel deposits.
