The electrodeposition of dysprosium has been carried out from non-aqueous bath onto different substrates. The deposition potentials are found to be substrate and solvent dependent. Ethanol solvent and sodium acetate as a complex are found suitable for the dysprosium deposition. Uniform yellowish-gray films of thickness upto 0.20 microns are deposited.
