Analytical data has been generated on vacuum gas oils from North Gujarat crude oils using separation techniques and average structural parameters were estimated on compound type concentrates by H-1 and C-13 nmr. The combination of analytical data with average structural parameters accounted for certain distinctive features of the composition of vacuum gas oils from heavy and light crudes.
