Research on electrochemical behavior of titanium-supported anodic coating in electrolytic anti-fouling of brine
By electrochemical techniques, the electrochemical behavior of four-type titanium-supported anodic coating was studied in electrolytic anti-fouling of brine. The results indicated that the electrochemistry performance of Ti-Ir-Ru anode was the best and ideal anode electrode material of anti-fouling for electrolyzing brine. The auger electron energy spectrum (AES) detected that the surface of Ti-Ir-Ru anode enriched O, Ru and Ir element, while had lower Ti element. X-ray diffraction (XRD) analysis confirmed the surface of the Ti-Ir-Ru anode was composed of (Ru,Ti)O-2 solid solution and IrO2. Ti-Ir-Ru anode had good electrochemical performance and chemical stability in electrolyzing the seawater because it had superficial chemical effect and insulate action. (C) 2008 Elsevier B.V.
