Two test reactions: conversions of propan-2-ol and 2-methyl-3-butyn-2-ol were applied for the investigation of the acid-base properties of Ga2O3-Al2O3 materials. Both test reactions lead to consistent conclusions on the overall acid-base properties of the materials studied. It has been found that the deposition of gallium oxide on the surface of gamma-Al2O3 enhances the overall basicity.
