Laser induced fluorescence and dispersed fluorescence spectra of zirconium monoxide between 460 and 560 nm
New bands observed between 460 and 560 nm following laser ablation of zirconium metal can be attributed to ZrO. A band system with origin near 513.3 nm is identified from dispersed fluorescence measurements as the predicted E-1 Pi-X-1 Sigma(+) system. Vibrational constants for the E state are omega(e) approximate to 852, omega(e)x(e) approximate to 1.5 cm(-1). Data on the C-1 Sigma(+) and e(3)Pi(1) states have been extended. (C) 2009 Elsevier B.
