Facile and Efficient Electrochemical Synthesis of Lanthanum Hydroxide Nanospindles and Nanorods
Herein, we report a template- and surfactant-free electrochemical approach for the preparation of La(OH)(3) nanospindles and nanorods on F-doped SnO2 substrates. The morphology of the deposits is easily tuned by adjusting the concentration of dimethyl sulfoxide. Moreover, the as-synthesized products show an environmental engineering application due to their remarkable capability in removing organic dye from water. (C) 2010 The Electrochemical Society.
