Assignment of Electronic-Spectra of the Platinum(III) Dimer Complexes (Pt-2(SO4)(4)(H2O)(2))(2-) and (Pt-2(HPO4)(4)(H2O)(2))(2-)
The electronic spectra of the tetrabridged platinum(III) lantern dimers [Pt-2(SO4)(4)(H2O)(2)](2-) and [Pt-2(HPO4)(4)(H2O)(2)](2-) are re-examined in light of recent electronic structure calculations and spectral assignments for the analogous acetate-bridged complex[Pt-2(O2CCH3)(4)(H2O)(2)](2+).
