An Unusual Coordination Mode in a bis(Dialkyldithiocarbamato)Zinc(II) Adduct with N,N,N',N'-Tetramethylethylenediamine - X-Ray Crystal-Structures of 2(Me(I)Prncs(2))(2)Zn-Center-Dot-Me(2)N(CH2)(2)NMe(2) and (Me(I)Prncs(2))(2)Zn-Center-Dot-C5H5N
The N,N,N’,N’-tetramethylethylenediamine and pyridine adducts of bis(N-methylisopropyldithiocarbamato)zinc have been synthesized and characterized. The pyridine adduct shows a simple 1:1 stoichiometry. The TMED molecule assumes a bridging position unusual in the coordination chemistry of group 12 metals.
