Preliminary Heating Test of Hydrogen Isotope Storage Beds
With the development of fusion technology, it will be necessary to store a large amount of hydrogen isotopes in the reactor fuel cycle. To achieve high- density storage of hydrogen isotopes, stable metal hydrides are considered as potential candidates. Metal hydride formers
offer a safe and convenient method for tritium storage. Different metal hydrides show various storage and delivery properties. Uranium and zirconium cobalt are considered as the most applicable hydrogen isotopes storage materials. Thus, equipment for comparative experiment of hydrogen isotope storage materials was fabricated. Heating test of beds in the equipment was performed.
