Crystal and molecular structures of a neutral pentanuclear copper(I)-iodide complex
The novel pentanuclear species (1) is prepared from copper(I) iodide and tetraethylthiuram monosulfide. It features a central Cu3I3 cage with two fused CuLI units. This structure is one of the scarce examples of copper(I) pentanuclear compounds so far reported.
