Sustainable supply of raw materials is a main issue inside the European Commission. A good management of recycling processes can achieve a long term availability of secondary resources and a (primary) raw material substitution through secondary resources. This results in a high impact on sustainable resource management. A sustainable resource management based on material flows for scrap tire recycling as an example is described.
