High Pressure Optical Cell for Studies of the Ammonothermal Process
In recent years, an enormous progress in the ammonothermal growth of gallium nitride single crystals has taken place. Because of the extreme reaction conditions, only indirect methods for the determination of equilibrium and solubility data could be applied and therefore the process itself is still not well understood. In this work, a high-pressure optical cell is presented, which is used to carry out in situ investigations of the ammothermal system under real reaction conditions.
