Metal-metal versus metal-arene interactions in polyfunctional thallium(I) amides
The crystal structure analysis of the tripodal thallium(I) amide, [(C6H5)C{CH2N(Tl)SiMe3}(3)] (1), containing a phenyl group at the apical position of the ligand backbone has revealed the competition of metal-metal and metal-arene interactions in its form of aggregation leading to an infinite chain structure in the solid state.
