Mn21Dy Cluster with a Record Magnetization Reversal Barrier for a Mixed 3d/4f Single-Molecule Magnet
A high-oxidation-state (Mn21DyIII)-Dy-III.IV cluster with an unusual structure is reported. It also possesses a record barrier to magnetization reversal for a 3d/4f single molecule magnet (SMM) and provides insight into how the full benefit of lanthanides to the mixed 3d/4f SMM field might be realized.
