Reinvestigation of the synthesis of LiFeVO4
The synthesis of LiFeVO4 composition has been performed in air starting from Li2CO3, Fe2O3, and V2O5 and using the standard solid-state reaction route reported by Refs. [13-15]. Identical X-ray diffraction pattern has been obtained, however our careful analysis with MDI Jade 5.0 software does not agree with previously reported pure LiFeVO4 samples. The powder pattern has been perfectly indexed using the single crystal data of LiVO3 (C-2/c, a = 10.16718 angstrom, b = 8.415725 angstrom, c = 5.884155 angstrom and beta = 110.489 degrees) and alpha-Fe2O3 (R-3c, a = 5.035 angstrom, c = 13.75 angstrom).
