Densities, speeds of sound and refractive indices at atmospheric pressure and at a temperature range of 283.15-313.15K, and isothermal vapour liquid equilibrium at 298.15 K for the binary mixtures of n-hexane or n-heptane with 1-chloropropane have been determined. Excess volumes, excess isentropic compressibilities, refractive index deviations and excess Gibbs functions were calculated from the experimental data.
