Redox-Active Fe(CN)(6)(4-)-Doped Conducting Polymers with Greatly Enhanced Capacity as Cathode Materials for Li-Ion Batteries
Polypyrrole and polythiophenes doped with redox-active Fe(CN)(6)(4-) anions deliver a 56% to 300% enhanced redox capacity and also exhibit greatly improved cycling stability, enabling them to be used as a new class of low-cost, environmentally benign, and high-capacity cathode material for electric storage applications.
